  13. SECTION I         I N S T A L L A T I O N

  16. SUMMARY: Download; Decompress to hard drive directory;
  17.      Run Setup from that directory; Respond to prompts; Run.
  18.  
  19. REQUIRES:
  20.     WINDOWS 3.1, WINDOWS 95, or OS/2 2.1
  21.     VBRUN300.DLL
  22.     PKUNZIP V2.0 or greater (or comparable decompressor)
  23.  
  24.     About 2 MBytes of harddisk during install, 1 MByte after install
  25.  
  26. 1) This assumes that you received or downloaded SUP136.ZIP onto a diskette
  27.    or hard drive.
  28.  
  29. 2) From a DOS session, determine your system's temporary area, by keying:
  30.  
  31.       SET
  32.  
  33.    This will display a variable TEMP= or TMP=
  34.    e.g.  TEMP= c:\dos\temp OR TEMP= c:\windows\temp
  35.  
  36. 3) Change to that directory:  
  37.     c:
  38.     cd \dos\temp
  39.  
  40. 4) Decompress the file--Key: pkunzip P\SUP136
  41.           where P is the path to the downloaded file, such as:
  42.  
  43.             pkunzip a:\SUP136 OR pkunzip c:\download\SUP136
  44.  
  45. 5) This operation creates several files, described below, but 
  46.    particularly SETUP.EXE, needed in the next step.
  47.  
  48. 6A) From the Program manager of Windows or WIN-OS/2, select the 
  49.     menu command: File,Run
  50.  
  51. 6b) Or From Windows 95, Select the Start Button, then the Run option
  52.  
  53. 7) Key: c:\dos\temp\setup and Enter     
  54.  
  55.         where c:\dos\temp is the directory used 
  56.         in steps 2 and 3, above.
  57.  
  58. 8) Follow the instructions during the installation. You are asked to select
  59.    a target directory for the application. Choose one such as:
  60.  
  61.     c:\supermkt
  62.  
  63. 9) A program group and item are automatically created. Click on the 
  64.    Super!Market icon and execute the program.
  65.  
  66. 10) To get help, press the F1 key at any time. To learn about the
  67.     system, choose the GETTING STARTED topic in the help menu.

  70. N.B.: Setup will not run unless VBRUN300.DLL is in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  71.       directory. Obtain VBRUN300.DLL from the distribution system
  72.       where you obtained Super!Market. For example, on AOL, it can be
  73.       found as VBRUN300.EXE. On CompuServe it can be found in the 
  74.       Windows Shareware forum in the Index Section
  75.       as file VBRUN3.ZIP.

  132.            after you have tested the system.

  146. Information New since the package was produced:
  147.  
  148.     This package has been tested in Windows 95 and it runs very well.
  149.     However, the full sound support is not available unless your registry
  150.     was converted from WIN.INI with the Super!Market sound events.
  151.  
  152.     A full Windows 95 version of Super!Market is under construction.
  153.     
  154.     The INI file contains the line:

  156.        slwords=SHOPPING LIST ,Page ,Aisle ,Printing Canceled, Items
  157.  
  158.     This entry is intended for non-English users. They may change the
  159.     five phrases to another language. The phrases appear in the printed
  160.     shopping list.
